Description
D-(+)-Raffinose pentahydrate is used as a carbon source in yeast culture media. It is also used in moisturizers, prevent skin ageing, promotes skin regeneration, additive in low-cariogenic food and drinks, non-digestible with lower efficiency than lactose or sucrose and stimulates the growth of lactobacilli and bifidobacteria.

D-(+)-Raffinose-Pentahydrat wird als Kohlenstoffquelle in Hefekulturmedien verwendet. Wird auch in Feuchtigkeitscremes eingesetzt, verhindert Hautalterung, fördert die Hautregeneration, ist ein Zusatzstoff in wenig kariogenen Lebensmitteln und Getränken, nicht verdaulich mit geringerer Effizienz als Laktose oder Saccharose und stimuliert das Wachstum von Lactobazillen und Bifidobakterien.
Löslichkeit
Löslich in Pyridin und Wasser.
Hinweise
Hygroskopisch. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln und starken Säuren.
