Potassium thioacetate is used for palladium mediated coupling with aryl halides and triflates leading to S-arylthioacetates and derivatives. It is also used as a reagent in the conversion of halides to thiols.

Kaliumthioacetat wird für die palladiumvermittelte Kopplung mit Arylhalogeniden und Triflaten verwendet, die zu S-Arylthioacetaten und Derivaten führen. Wird auch als Reagenz bei der Umwandlung von Halogeniden in Thiole verwendet.
Löslichkeit
Löslich in Wasser, Methanol und einigen polaren Lösungsmitteln. Unlöslich in Alkanen, Ether und den meisten unpolaren Lösungsmitteln.
Hinweise
Luftempfindlich. Hygroskopisch. Behälter an einem trockenen und gut belüfteten Ort dicht verschlossen halten. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Säuren.
