Beschreibung
The Novex Tris-Glycine Resupply Pack simplifies your protein separation workflow. This pack, sufficient for 100 gel runs, includes precast mini gels, running buffer, and protein ladders. Novex Tris-Glycine gels provide reproducible separation of a wide range of proteins into well-resolved bands, based on traditional Laemmli protein electrophoresis. They offer flexibility for both native and denaturing protein gel electrophoresis. With a long shelf life and the innovative WedgeWell format that allows for easier sample loading, this pack is a reliable and convenient solution for your laboratory needs.
The Novex Tris-Glycine Resupply Pack contains:
- Novex Tris-Glycine gels, WedgeWell format (10 boxes, 100 gels)
- Novex Tris-Glycine Running Buffer for 100 gel runs, 10X (8 bottles, Cat. No. LC2675)
- PageRuler Plus Pre-stained Protein Ladder for 100 gel runs, 10 to 250 kDa (Cat. No. 26619)
About Novex Tris-Glycine gels, WedgeWell format
Invitrogen Novex Tris-Glycine Gels, in the innovative WedgeWell format, are based on traditional Laemmli protein electrophoresis, allowing the use of Laemmli sample and running buffers. These precast polyacrylamide gels are designed to provide reproducible separation of a wide range of proteins into well-resolved bands. Novex Tris-Glycine Gels do not contain SDS, enabling you to run your proteins in native or denatured form, offering flexibility for both types of protein gel electrophoresis.
Key features of Novex Tris-Glycine Gels include an improved shelf life of up to 12 months at 4°C, and the innovative WedgeWell design that allows for easy loading of up to two times more sample volume. This ensures better cell lysate loading capacity, resolving lysate samples where gels from other suppliers might smear. The gels also facilitate swift separation of your proteins using constant voltage in less than 60 minutes. The gels use a tris-glycine discontinuous buffer system, involving three primary ions: Chloride, Glycine, and Tris base, which collectively establish an operating pH of 9.5 in the separating region of the gel. This design ensures well-resolved, straight bands with optimal band quality compared to other commercially available precast gels, thus fulfilling your protein separation needs with superior performance.
Separation
For running Invitrogen protein gels, you have the flexibility to use either the Mini Gel Tank (A25977) or the XCell SureLock Mini-Cell (EI0001). Both systems are designed to provide optimal performance. The Mini Gel Tank's unique side-by-side design offers efficient and convenient electrophoresis for both precast and SureCast handcast mini gels. Alternatively, the XCell SureLock Mini-Cell allows quick, easy, and leak-free running of mini gels, without the need for any clamps. This compatibility gives you the freedom to choose the best tool for your specific lab and experiment requirements. Additionally, the Mini Gel Tank is conveniently available through Invitrogen Precast Gel Welcome Packs along with both sample buffer and reducing agent, providing an all-in-one solution for your electrophoresis needs.
Transfer
For transferring your proteins to a membrane, we recommend using for Novex Tris-Glycine Native Running Buffer (LC2672) or Novex Tris-Glycine Transfer Buffer (LC3675) for traditional wet transfer using the Mini Blot Module (B1000). Alternatively, rapid semi-dry transfer can be done using the Invitrogen Power Blotter or rapid dry transfer using the iBlot 3 Gel Transfer Device (IB31001).
